Name of product: Renewal Lash Serum – L’Oreal
Price: £10.99 each
The blurb: This is the long awaited and much talked about “L’Oreal Renewal Lash Serum enriched with Arginine and Centella for a nourishing lash boost. Lashes feel fortified, look renewed
Developed by L’Oréal laboratories following 3 years of lash research, the Renewal Lash Serum has an intensive formula enriched with Arginine and Centella. Lashes feel fortified and nourished
The professional applicator is designed with a rounded end to treat the lash line whilst the curved edge is tailored to coat the length of the lashes from root to tip”
First impressions: The tube looks very much like a clear mascara although the wand differs in shape and size. The packaging is simple but it comes with no instructions for use, which is a shame. This product is easy to apply but I had to check out the L’Oreal site for the brief explanation of what the product sets out to achieve
Ease of Use: The online instructions state that the product should be applied both morning and night. For the best effects use the rounded tip of applicator to treat the lash line then sweeping the wand along the length of lashes from root to tip. I found that the best application was achieved by dotting the tip of the applicator along the roots of the upper lashes and then running the wand from root to tip. The serum dries quickly and after a minute it is possible to dive into your normal beauty routine and add lashings of mascara for that fluttery eyed goddess look (admires own reflection in compact mirror)
Pros: Having used the product for a month I was actually overjoyed as my lashes seem to be thicker and fuller than they were previously and appeared to be falling out less frequently. Over the few weeks that followed, my lashes did maintain their healthy and thicker look, making my eyes appear even more stunning that normal – I know, I know, modesty is not my strong point (smirk). My lashes are fluttering gorgeous and feel nourished, as though they have been doused with a truly glorious conditioning treatment (bats eyelashes)
Cons: The main con, aside from the fact that I am so busy looking at myself in shop windows and almost falling over my Jimmy Choo’s (what’s new I hear you moan) is that I have not noticed any lengthening of my lashes although the thickening effect is not to be sniffed at
Value for money:. This is a good value product. It is effective and definitely leaves lashes looking fuller (whether this is because it acts as a base for mascara or it really does prevent lashes from shedding, therefore causing fuller lashes is not for me to judge…whatever it does it does it well!

As it was not the startling effect that every girl dreams of but I am more than happy with the results (even I have to be a little realistic at times)
Stockists: Available to view the range at l’oreal-paris.co.uk and to buy at all good high street stores
