The blurb: Origins market this product as a natural way to even up skin tone and add a sparkle to a dull complexion. They say: “Considering costly laser resurfacing or chemical peels? Nature has an effective, yet gentle alternative. There’s no scarring or scorching skin. No downtime, no hefty price tag. It’s true brightness with no regrets”
“This clinically proven plant serum with naturally-derived Vitamin C helps create more even skin tone and zap the appearance of dullness, dark spots and discolourations. Cucumber Extract and Japanese Basil Leaf help prevent future spotting and freckling”
First impressions: The website is incredibly easy to navigate and list products by type i.e. serums, moisturisers and sun care products but also by collection if you are planning a girly gift or some serious pampering for yourself. The simple, fresh green and white packaging hides a small pump action green bottle
Ease of Use:
Pros: This serum specifically targets uneven skin tone and dull skin. It smells delightful and very fresh and conjures up images of a stroll in a spring meadow, a fragrant yet light scent to wake up a tired face. The serum is rich and creamy in consistency, easily applied and feels very luxurious on the skin. I suffer with dry skin and as a freckly person (someone has to be) I find that to achieve a smooth complexion especially in the summer months I need to wear a foundation during the day. I have found that this serum does make my skin look brighter and more radiant and I feel less obliged to pop on a layer of makeup before leaving the house. The serum is rich and I have experimented with merely applying this serum in the morning without moisturising. It appears that even without an additional layer of moisturiser it is effective (my colleagues look a little perplexed as they try to spot the difference)
My skin certainly looks more vibrant and clear and this product does not leave your face feeling greasy but smooth and even
Cons: There appear to be very few cons with this product, as yet I am unsure of whether it has effected any uneven areas of skin tone but my face certainly looks healthy and smooth and feels silky and soft
Value for money: This serum definitely more expensive than some competitors, but as a premium skincare junkie, I must admit that I don’t have a problem shelling out for premium products if they alive up to the claims! This serum imparts the skin with an amazing glow and would certainly be worth the investment for those with uneven skin tone or those looking for an intense serum that is highly moisturising and smells beautiful
