Name of product: Estée Lauder – Bronze Goddess Sunscreen SPF 15, Medium Protection for the face
Price: £21.00 for 50ml. If ordering via the Estee Lauder website, you currently receive 2 deluxe samples for every purchase – essential for the hols (smirk)
The blurb: “Indulge yourself with this divinely sensual collection. Turn up the heat with a sultry new look. Achieve golden perfection with decadent self-tan and sun formulas-and seduce your senses with the exotic, sun-drenched scent. Bronze Goddess. Let it worship every inch of you”
First impressions: The packaging shouts ‘Chateaux sunshine here we come’ with bold yellows, oranges and golds. The lotion is in an easy squeeze tube and, delight of all delights, the scent is utterly divine! It smells like summer sunshine and tropical blooms – rather refreshing when other sun lotions can leave your skin smelling like a sickly sweet chemical coconut. The lotion is a creamy colour and rich consistancy that leaves the skin feeling healthy and vibrant
Ease of Use: The lotion, specifically formulated for the face and neck, should be applied prior to sun exposure and reapplied frequently, especially after water exposure. It is light and easily applied, leaving a silky-smooth finish. Skin feels refreshed with not a hint of greasyness as it is quickly absorbed into the skin leaving no streaky, unflattering white marks. Let’s face it there is nothing worse than discovering a rather unattractive white smudge of lotion across your forehead having spent an afternoon holding court by the poolside, no really… I reviewed this lower SPF lotion for the last couple of days of my recent sunshiney break and I am overjoyed to report a nice, even healthy glow on my face without any unsightly sunburn (even on my nose) practically unheard of!
Pros: : It is lovely to find a sun lotion that provides great protection without leaving your face feeling greasy. The lotion thoroughly absorbs into the skin and leaving it feeling smooth and smelling fragrant. As we all know, the sun is public enemy number one when it comes to ageing so it is comforting to have a lotion with UVA/UVB protection from Estee Lauder that is marketed as their best ever UVA protection
Cons: The only con to note is that this lotion as with any other lotion does need reapplication especially after swimming but the nice fragrance and refreshing glow it gives your skin don’t make this too much of a problem and certainly won’t interfere with your busy poolside routine – if it were not for the kids club, I don’t know how I would survive (sigh)
Value for money: This cream represents good value for money as it provides protection from the suns’ UVA and UVB rays whilst moisturising beautifully, it is surely a holiday essential! Frequent reapplication is essential but only a small amount is required each time and a tube lasts very well

4/5 as it is a great lotion that provides a good level of sun protection and feels silky not greasy. Did I also mention that it really does smell delicious and gives you that certain holiday ‘zing’
