Name of product: Yes to Tomatoes Deep Cleansing Facial Pads

Price: £9.99 for 50 pads

The blurb: “You’re already balancing work, time, life — let Yes To Tomatoes balance your face! Get down and clean with Yes To Tomatoes Deep Cleansing Facial Pads. 98% natural and made with salicylic acid and tomatoes, these pre-moistened facial pads prevent breakouts and keep your skin balanced and beautiful. Come on, try a little tomato — deep down, you know you want to!

• 98% Natural
• Oil- Free
• Paraben,SLS and Petroleum Free

Key Ingredients:

Organic Tomatoes contain lycopene, a potent antioxidant found in red fruits and vegetables. Its anti-inflammatory properties encourage a balanced and clearer complexion while the vitamins are useful in the control of sebum secretion

Salicylic Acid works to shed the cells of the epidermis properly. This prevents the pores of the skin from getting clogged up and being infected by bacteria. Salicylic Acid is also known to break down blackheads, whiteheads and other types of acne”

First impressions: The small tub is very handy a quick cleansing routine or for treating your skin after a long day out. It saves the hassle of using separate products to cleanse, tone and exfoliate as the pads are pre-moistened for your convenience

When I opened the tub I was expecting it to be full but the pads only seemed to fill the tub halfway. I think they could have made the tub smaller and save the earth’s resources – it is also rather misleading! The pad itself is very thin but does the job very well

Ease of Use: Remove pad and wipe to clean face and neck. Use two of you’re feeling particularly grimy

Very easy to use as they come pre-moistened so it saves you time and the extra hassle if you keep them in the office drawer for emergencies!

Pros: You can feel them get to work immediately. You instantly feel clean and fresh-faced ready for your night-time beauty regime or to give your skin the deep clean that it needs. The pads are also designed to exfoliate the skin and get rid of any dry areas on your skin

Cons: I wouldn’t recommend this product for sensitive skin as it is quite stringent and the formula feels pretty powerful so it may irritate some skin types. Other than that, a great way to quickly cleanse your face and neck!

Value for money: Reasonable, considering they thoroughly cleanse AND exfoliate. I think these are ideal for acne prone skin and for teens

Name of product: Yes to Carrots Hair & Scalp Moisturising Mud Mask

Price: £8.20 for 250mls

The blurb: : “Get gorgeous hair like never before with C is for Hair Care Hair and Scalp Mud Mask. This deep conditioner is formulated to provide amazing softness and shine for hair in need of extra attention or weakened by chemical processes, environmental exposure and heat styling. This all-natural formula includes Organic Extracts of Carrot, Pumpkin, Orange and Honey, rich with Beta-Carotene, Alpha-Carotene, Vitamin E and other enzymes, to keep your locks in tip-top condition”

“With those beautiful luxurious locks, you’re already our muse! Yes To Carrots Hair and Scalp Mud Mask will keep your temptress tresses nourished, moisturized, soft and tangle-free. Let your hair be as radiant as you are! – Dead Sea Mud – Dead Sea Minerals – Paraben Free”

First impressions: I like the bright orange packaging – it’s simple but very eye catching. All the information you need is on the box including its yummy ingredients!

At first the mask appears rather thick and gloopy, although after taking a small amount to massage into towel-dried hair, I find its texture slightly mousse like. It glides through my hair evenly and I instantly feel it working, making it smooth to the touch

Ease of Use: The size of the pot is fairly generous considering you only need a small amount for each application. You literally scoop out the product with your hands so you can see how much, or how little, you have left

Pros: Leaves your hair lusciously soft and moisturised. It smells amazing and leaves a sleek, non-greasy feeling all over. After using it twice this week I have definitely seen and felt a difference as it brings moisture and shine from root to tip

Cons: Having the mask on for 12-15 minutes can seem like a chore especially when using it whilst in the shower or bath. I would recommend applying it afterwards, then make a cup of tea while you wait to ensure it absorbs thoroughly so there’s no temptation to wash it out sooner!

Value for money: A definite money saver! This hair & scalp mask works wonders for its price and could be mistaken for a salon product
