I have been so very busy lately that I have asked my super chum Tamsin to review these products for me. I completely trust her judgement, apart from the fact that she lives in Primrose Hill (looks serious)…

Name of product: Crème de la Mer (Gel de la Mer),Eye Balm Intense (Baume de la Mer ), Moisturising Cream (Crème del a Mer ), Regenerating Serum (Serum de la Mer)

Price:
Gel de la Mer 30mls for £92
Balm de la Mer 15mlsfor £95
Crème de la Mer 30mls for £92
Serum de la Mer 30mls for £210

The blurb: “Crème de la Mer’s transformational and efficacious results have inspired a global following. With use, skin appears smoother, lines and wrinkles are reduced in appearance and even the driest complexions are soothed on contact. Its benefits speak for themselves and continue to generate loyal devotees around the world”

First impressions: I am very excited to finally get my hands on these luxurious products filled with promise. The packaging is very simple – uncluttered with the signature logo on the cardboard box. These samples look simple clean and enticing. They come in a hard plastic pot white in colour with a light pink “swish” logo mark across the pot or a simple blue tube for the regenerating serum, again with the Logo across the front. The creams had very little perfume to them-which is a good if you have delicate skin

Ease of Use: The creams and serums are all very easy to apply. Only a tiny amount to smooth onto your face in a circular motion (massaging the delicate areas around the eyes). The creams easily absorb into the skin- the moisturising cream being a little thicker and heavier than the other samples. The intense eye balm was particularly effective. There seemed to be instant radiance to my rather dark circles and the skin felt lovely all day.Because it is thinner, I found the Gel de la Mer easier to apply than the Creme de la Mer

Pros: A small amount goes a long way and all of these products are very effective, particularly around the eye areas. Your skin is likely to feel soft and supple within days. The fragrance is delicate and seems good for sensitive skin like mine

Cons: Obviously the cost for 30mls could make you gasp

Value for money:. These are premium products and so they are jaw droppingly expensive – but extremely effective

Dulwichmum verdict: ★★★★½
