Name of product: Dreamy Night Cream, Mango and Avocado – Lubatti

Price: £34.00 for 50ml

The blurb: “The launch: Tracey Malone’s timeless skincare collection uses the original recipes of Madame Lubatti who was a doyenne of her time as a respected skincare expert and homeopath who handmade products for high society and English royalty. The collection aims to combine elegance and luxury with the scents that make women feel beautiful. The collection contains fruit, plant and flower extracts designed to help the skin be its most beautiful, radiant self

Inspired across generations and using only the finest ingredients and scents, the Lubatti Collection brings a touch of glamour and timelessness to skincare. Our wonderful aromas and ingredients evoke nostalgia of a more simple, bygone era with scents such as Tuberose & Mimosa, Bergamot & Grapefruit, Sweet Almond and Honey

Lubatti’s Dreamy Night Cream, infused with Mango & Avocado, will recondition your skin while sleeping, and will leave it feeling wonderfully soft and silky-smooth by morning

Avocado Oil and Mango Fruit Juice are naturally high in vitamins, and both have skin-softening properties. Shea Butter is also packed with vitamins A & E and together, these ingredients provide an intensive night cream that absorbs quickly and easily while allowing the skin to breathe”

First impressions: The Dreamy Night Cream is packaged simply in a brown and green box, patterned with flowers. The glass jar is understated and circular with a gleaming black lid and looks chick, crisp and upmarket. The cream is rich and white and smells gorgeous. The mango and avocado oil are subtle yet very refreshing scents

Ease of Use: :The product states ‘For adorable results use nightly’ not one to take the risk of not being adorable that is exactly what I did. The directions are to allow the cream to warm on a fingertip and gently massage into your face and neck in upward circular movements, whilst avoiding eye area. The product is very easy to apply although it needs a while to soak in the skin

Pros: The main pro is that this cream is very nourishing, the natural ingredients and mellow scent allow you to rest your pretty head whilst the cream ensures that your beauty sleep has been productive. I found that my face still felt moisturised in the morning as I awoke and although there is no apparent change to those sneaky fine lines, my face actually appears refreshed and dewy even in those hideous first few minutes of the day as I await some form of caffeine infusion

Cons: The main con for me is that having used the cream for over a month. I have found that I have had the occasional but noteworthy pimple to which I am not normally prone. I feel it may be that the cream is so rich and nourishing that I may have been over applying it. As you can imagine a morning with a pimple is not something I cope well with (wails)!

Value for money:. 5/5 This cream is good value and is rich and refreshing – use it sparingly!

Dulwichmum verdict: ★★★☆☆
