The blurb: This is marketed as a waterproof mascara that gives you “full, sexy lashes that are virtually indestructible. Giving lashes that look beautiful in all weather conditions from steamy humidity to a splash in the pool
This mascara is a survivor in: water, chlorinated water, tears, perspiration, humidity, rain and snow”
First impressions: The packaging is simplistic and gorgeous and is a glamorous addition to any makeup bag. The website is easy to navigate and crammed full of lovely beauty items that you just didn’t realise you needed until you stumble upon them. Thank goodness for the internet or I may have never discovered these vital pieces destined for my makeup bag. The wand is long and thin allowing application to all lashes in one sweep. This lovely little mascara comes in two shades, black and brown
Ease of Use: The wand allows easy application of the mascara in one sweep for upper and then lower lashes. For that extra sexy look add a second layer to leave lashes full, long and curled. The mascara glides on very easily without any clumping and leaves you with an open-eyed and wide awake look even on those days where your inner feelings may not reflect this
Pros: This mascara really does hold its own in the most adverse weather conditions. In order to ensure a fair and honest review I have pushed it to the extreme (wipes tear from eye). For those amongst you who are yet to try glamping (a new pastime of mine) this is an event where a waterproof mascara is a must. Whilst glamping I tried and tested the rain. I may have looked miserable drinking my Chablis in a leaky waterproof but my mascara laughed in the face of adversity!
The salt water swimming though cold and hugely unpleasant did not defeat this mascara and nor did the laughter induced tears from watching people try to erect their tent in gale force winds. This product really does last and last, and even at the end of the day has not smudged. No panda eyes here at all (looks smug)
Cons: This mascara is so committed to giving you beautifully defined eyes that it requires a top quality eye makeup remover to fully cleanse and remove. Its staying power is well worth the few minutes needed to remove it at the end of a long hard day
