Family Diary

Name of product: 2010 Life Book Diary
Price: £13
The blurb: “This clever book has everything you need to organise your life, in one convenient place.”
First impressions: This sturdy, spring backed A5 diary is pretty and compact. It surely cannot be as fabulously efficient as every mother I know says it is…
Ease of Use: This is, quite simply, the most organised our family has ever been. The diary has sections for everything, from pull out shopping lists, to weekly routines, a year to view, Christmas planning pages, eye catching stickers for special events not to be missed, a compact detachable address book that can be removed and popped into next year’s diary, repositionable dividers for ease of use and a small folder for documents in the back.
Pros: Over the past five years, since my munchkins started nursery school, I have tried and thrown away, virtually every type of family diary on the market. This ingenious book has clearly been designed by a busy mum, I use every inch of it. It is so very intuitive, it is impossible to miss a French Assembly or Harvest Festival charity collection!
Cons: The system takes a little time to set up at the beginning of the school year, but once all of key the dates have been inserted, along with ballet lessons, clubs and sports fixtures, it is virtually impossible to miss the annual PTA picnic, Christmas concert or Harvest Festival bake off… damn (stamps foot)!
Value for money: What price sanity? When I think of the money that I have wasted on every other family diary on the market over the years (sob), I would not recommend any other diary, this is quite simply, priceless!
