title pic Filextra, Facial Revolumizing Treatment with Collagen – GoodSkin Labs

Posted by dulwichmum on Sat 27 November 2010

My super chum Miranda reviewed this for me. Miranda, like me, is harsh but fair…

Name of product: Filextra, Facial Revolumizing Treatment with Collagen by GoodSkin Labs

Price: £27.00 for 50 mls

The blurb: “Fill in what time’s taken away. Instantly!”

I do like the sound of this! I find it so hard to wait for anything…

“An instant way to help revolumize the appearance of time-sunken skin”

So time to pump up the volume with oodles of natural collagen boosters!
“Fills where you need it. Hydrates all over. Filextra™ is smart. It targets areas where gravity’s taking its toll — cheeks, under the eyes, anywhere skin’s thinning while also providing critical hydration. It’s the ideal daily moisturizer for tired, sallow, sagging skin”

Can’t wait to slap it on and witness these “light-bending particles” visibly correct all my hollows and bring out my natural youthful glow!” Clearly, I am fabulous already, with lots of youthful glow, and not a trace of a hollow, but this sounds simply amazing!

First impressions: As with the Tri-Aktiline. Instant Deep Wrinkle Filler I recently reviewed, this packaging follows the same simple bold design. This time the package is a peach/pink colour but the “claims” are still highlighted in bright yellow. I love the Tri-Aktiline since it really does work for me and so I was very curious about this product, which promises a lot. Finger’s crossed. The first claim is that it will instantly make my skin more moisturized, supple and younger looking. Apparently, after 4 weeks 91% of testers reported plumper skin and 85% claimed their skin was more toned. By 8 weeks the product promises to help restore the look of volume to the eye area hollows and sunken cheeks. All this in such a simple tube?

Ease of Use: Pretty easy to use. You can even watch a short podcast from Goodskin Labs online who show you exactly how to apply the product. Simply smooth over a cleansed face morning and evening in place of your normal moisturiser

Pros: I have been using Filextra for a month now and it definitely has made my skin softer and more supple than before. The consistency is a little thicker than my normal moisturizer but I think this has helped now that the weather has changed. It does feel a little gritty for some reason when applying but I just allow it to dry before applying my make up in the morning. It’s a great overnight cream and I do think my face has taken on a certain glow

Whether or not the 8-week promise comes true I’ll just have to wait and see but so far so good. Another winner in my books from Goodskin Labs!

Cons: It doesn’t contain any SPF, which is a shame since it is a day cream as well as a night cream. Also it could smell a little better than it does, its not offensive, just ‘non-descript’

Value for money:. 4 /5 since it can be used day and night.

Dulwichmum verdict: ★★★★☆
