Name of product: Hylexin, Serious Dark Circles – Bremenn Labs
Price: 15 mls for £52
The blurb: “The first product specifically developed for serious dark circles. Not the kind that pop up in the morning, and are gone by breakfast, but the kind of dark circles that seem to stay around forever
The photo above is of my cleaner, Bridie.
EXCLUSIVE TO HARVEY NICHOLS. Hylexin® is specifically developed to dramatically reduce the appearance of serious dark circles. Hylexin’s functional ingredients have been shown to reduce the appearance of dark discolouration and red-blue pigmentation, lowerlid bulging (or under-eye bags), and to reinforce the thin tissues around the eyes that can exaggerate colour differences in the eye area. Whether your dark circles are a result from photoaging, gravity, or blood retention due to fatigue, lack of sleep, or stress, Hylexin® has you covered”
First impressions: The clinical appearance of the unglamorous packaging inspires confidence that this product will work!
Ease of Use: This simple little tube has a pump dispenser and a clear plastic lid. As with all eye creams it should be used sparingly. However, it is difficult to dispense a small amount of this cream as the pump action is quite hard to control, which is wasteful. A simple squeezable tube would be much easier to use
The cream absorbs quite quickly and smoothly, it heats up slightly on contact with skin but it is not uncomfortable and packaging does inform you of this
Pros: This really does work! Not immediately, but after only one week, serious dark circles were quite noticeably lighter, skin around eyes also felt slightly tighter. It also seemed to reduce puffy eyes
Cons: Hylexin is quite expensive and using it sparingly is incredibly tricky
Value for money:. This is good value as it actually works!

I have given Hylexin a lower rating as although effective, it is expensive as it is so difficult to control the amount dispensed!
