KUKUI OIL COLLECTION

The idea for Kukui Oil products harks back to a trip we took as a family to the South Pacific. I instantly fell in love with the Hawaiian Islands – their wild and natural beauty, the warm, softly scented air and the spirit of the people. Hundreds of years ago Hawaiians learned that when the shells were removed from Kukui nuts and the kernels lightly roasted, clear oil could be pressed out that softened and soothed the skin. I went with Dad to watch the local women continuing this tradition of shelling Kukui nuts and pressing the oil from the kernels

I have sourced the Kukui Oil used in Connock London products from a small factory on the Hawaiian island of Oahu. The owners of this factory are close family friends and I have visited them many times over the years. I have witnessed the whole production process from the nuts being harvested from the Hawaiian mountains to the oil being pressed, refined and packaged‘

First impressions: The Connock Kukui Oil Hydrating Body Lotion comes in this beautifully tall, pyramidal bottle that looks sexy and shouts “I’m pure and luxurious!” cover your body with me! How can a girl resist? The entire product and packaging is white and beautifully presented with a delicate Hawaiian-inspired floral motif on the front

Ease of Use: Simply remove the lid and pump a few times to start the lotion flowing. The directions are pretty easy- just gently massage into the skin concentrating on any dry areas and use daily after a bath or shower

Pros: This body lotion is on of the best that I’ve used. Firstly the fragrance is divine but not over powering and lingers on and on… It glides on to the skin like silk and is quickly absorbed. My biggest gripe with body lotions in general is that some result in stickyness, but not this one. I accidentally used it straight after shaving my legs one morning but I had no reaction and no stinging. My darling husband loves it and suggested that I should wear the Hawaiian “lei” garland of flowers and the grass skirt to greet him when he comes home from work… OHMYGOD!

Cons: None! My skin feels so incredibly soft. It’s not cheap, but I am worth it (smirk)

Value for money:. Good value for money
