My super chum Miranda reviewed this for me. Miranda, like me, is harsh but fair…
Name of product: Lumecin Overnight Brightening Gluco-Protein Treatment by GoodSkin labs
Price: £30.99 for 40mls
The blurb: “Aging doesn’t happen overnight. What if reversing it could? FACT: Lines and wrinkles are not the only signs of aging. Darkness, dullness, uneven surface texture and even enlarged pores can make skin look older.Lumecin™ is a revolutionary, overnight topical skin treatment that helps restore brightness, smoothness and texture. From the very first use, this gluco-protein formula provides visible improvements to your skin’s appearance while increasing skin’s strength and evenness of tone with continued use. Why Does Skin Aging Occur? Young skin functions at a high-performance level. Not only is it able to make the required amounts of calcium, protein and nutrients it needs, it’s able to use these elements efficiently. Skin is bright, luminous, young-looking. Over time, skin’s vital processes slow down and malfunction. Cells do not produce protein as fast or process calcium as well. Dead skin cells pile up on the surface, causing overall dullness, dark patches and rough spots.
Lumecin™, with patented Protectami®, Glucosamine, Hydrolized Proteins, Urea, and exclusive LumaFade™ Complex, delivers the necessary critical elements to start reversing this process. Skin will start to look younger – literally overnight.”
First impressions: Lumecin Overnight Brightening Gluco-Protein Treatment is the latest debut from GoodSkin Labs and claims, it will:
“Instantly: 65% measurable improvement in skin clarity.
After 1 week: 77% of subjects felt their skin looked revitalized in the morning.
After 2 weeks: 28% measurable reduction in the appearance of pore size and 15% visible reduction in brown spots”
Wow, what a mouthful! The packaging yet again is a little dull and looks more like a teenage spot cream than a £30 “wonder” face cream. But as they say: ”never judge and book by it’s cover”
Ease of Use: Easy just apply a pea sized amount over entire face after cleansing but avoid the eye area.
Pros: Yet another great product from Goodskin labs! Hurrah for a range of products that truly delivers! I’ve now been using this cream for well over a month (yes I know, I’m addicted to it!) and friends are commenting on how radiant my skin looks. Yes sweeties, I’m positively glowing!
The product doesn’t have a fragrance, it feels a little tacky when you first apply but it does dry quickly. It did not cause any outbreaks or irritation at all. I even think that my pores have indeed reduced in size. I don’t YET suffer from brown spots (no doubt that joy is just waiting around the corner) so unfortunately I cannot comment about that claim, but I can say that my skin is wonderfully soft. I love it!
Cons: None!
Value for money:. Worth every penny!

I ADORE THIS PRODUCT!
