Name of product: Pleasures by Estee Lauder
Price: 30 mls – £30.00
The blurb: A sheer floral scent, “One of life’s simple pleasures. Capturing the clarity of flowers just after a spring rain, this sheer, shimmering floral is a spirited blend of Lilies, Peonies and Jasmine, all tingling with the rare essence of exotic Baie Rose. Never sweet, ever fresh, this fragrance delights your senses with pleasure after pleasure.”
First impressions: The packaging is uncomplicated, pretty and yet grown up, evocative of the floral accent to this fragrance. This scent is fresh and light, perfect for spring summer. Not too sweet, perfect for work. Serious but pretty – if you see what I mean, very me (smirk).
Ease of Use: It is a scent! What do you want me to say?
Pros: This scent is upmarket and not worn by everyone else. I despise “trendy” perfume. Jo Malone has become such a cliché. This is pretty, light and fresh. Perfect for spring/summer.
Cons: People will ask you what you are wearing, you MUST lie. I don’t want the school gate thronged with women wearing my scent…
Value for money: 5/5
