Name of product: Polaroid Sunglasses. We were given three pairs to try and test. A high fashion pair for me (clearly!) – “Starlet”, a perfect trendy boy pair “Rock” and for Freya a swishy grown up girl pair “Limo”!

First impressions: I must be honest, when I was contacted by the PR, I was not jumping up and down with delight – I considered Polaroid to be a rather dated brand. However, when I went on the Polaroid site, I was very pleasantly surprised. I adore high fashion sunglasses and have a huge collection. The designs are stunning and for once, my children are genuinely excited about choosing and wearing theirs too.

Could it be that the poppets are becoming fashion conscious and growing up? My darling eight year old son, Max, said: “I look like Daniel Craig” bless! I will have so much trouble getting the poppets to keep these glasses up for their holidays.

Ease of Use: These glasses are a substantial improvement in quality to my new Chloe sunglasses. The specially treated glass completely eliminates glare when driving and stops me from squinting – I hadn’t even been conscious of it before. I can’t describe the relief that they give. I am sure that this will be of huge benefit to me in my battle against fine lines and wrinkles!

Polaroid Sunglasses provide 100% UV400 protection, give clear contrast between natural colours and completely eliminate the eye fatigue caused by reading in direct sunshine. They are a must-have for the holidays this summer.

It is also great to know that I am sharing the benefit of these glasses with the children! I will never allow them to wear those trashy ones we have been buying in airports again!

Pros: Free UK deliveries and easy returns. There is a huge range of designs for everyone to chose from – men, women, and the poppets! The site is terrific, easy to navigate and it is effortless to make a purchase. I know just what to buy James for Father’s day!

Cons: I genuinely cannot be bothered with any of my other sunglasses now. They just seem pointless. Polaroid have such stunning styles, my new discovery is going to cost James dearly – I want them all!
