Name of product: Pure Color Five Color Eyeshadow Palette in Extravagant Gold – Estee Lauder
Part of the Estee Lauder Holiday Extravagant 2010 collection by their new creative director, Tom Pecheaux – genius!
Price: £34
The blurb: “A stunning collection of glistening metallics for eyes”
First impressions: The colours are nicely presented in a sleek, logo embossed case, while the shadows themselves look smooth and expensive, very me!
Ease of Use: There are various applicators that allow you to apply as much eyeshadow as you want. The brush is useful for a light application while the tapered nip allows you to apply the darkest shade as a eyeliner if desired. The encased mirror is a good size too, making it really easy to see what you are doing, perfect if you are doing your make-up on the go
Pros: This palette is very nicely presented and the eyeshadows themselves give a smooth, clean appearance that lasts most of the day. I like the options of adding the darker shades for smokey eyes for evening events
Cons: One shade didn’t suit my skin colour but the rest worked very well
Value for money:. Five different shades and a long lasting finish make this palette good value for money

Stockists: At a department store near you!
