Name of product: Pure Color Nail Lacquer in Extravagant Night – Estee Lauder (the colour in the image above just doesn’t do it justice!)

I asked my friend Jamima to review this product for me!

The blurb: “Inspired by festive celebrations, Estee Lauder introduces Pure Color Extravagant by Tom Pecheaux, an indulgent party season look. This stunning collection features glistening metallics for eyes, in tones of gold and champagne and luxurious winter berries and vivid reds for lips”

First impressions: This is actually a deeper brown/red colour than the image above, sparkling in the bottle – it looks expensive, very me! This is an item that would stand out in any collection of nail products

Ease of Use: The lacquer glides on nicely, although it took a few strokes to ensure the colour was even. This is not as easy to apply as some other brands of nail polish I own. You could possibly argue that this is due to the glitter, but then again, I have other brands of glitter nail products that are easier to apply. The polish dried quickly which was great and it lasted a few days before chipping or being worn away at the tips which, for a glamorous working mother, is a great bonus. I will point out however, that this product did not chip – which is a bonus as far as I am concerned (I spit in the eye of nail polish that chips)!

Pros: This lacquer is a super deep colour, very on-trend, and it lasted well once carefully applied. It is a good product in a beautiful bottle

Cons: Even application was not as easy to achieve as I would have expected

Value for money:. Good value for money – I adore the shade and the bottle looks amazing on my dressing table. I love luxury nail products
