Name of product: Rose & Co – Rose Petal Salve

Price: £5.00 (20g)

The blurb: “Our celebrated salve is packaged in a beautiful pink ointment tin and remains our best-selling product. A fabulous lip salve and also helpful for dry patches and rough skin, there seems to be no end to the uses of this magical little balm”

First impressions: The small pink tin looks very pretty and the writing on it states; “An excellent all-round salve”, so not just a lip balm – intriguing! You can instantly smell the gentle scent of roses as you open the lid. I adore roses so this is fast becoming my new favourite product

Ease of Use: Very easy to use – just apply a small amount on your lips or other dry areas and it will keep your skin moisturised for hours. The small tin is pocket-sized for your convenience so just pop it in your bag to use whenever and wherever!

Pros: : I love how handy this product is. It’s easy to tote around in my bag to use anytime, anywhere that needs a little moisture – perfect for those harsh winter months!

The salve itself is tinted in a light pink colour that works with any skin tone and appears sheer. It can also be worn over lipstick to give that shiny gloss effect. However, my favourite part of this product has to be the wonderful scent of roses when you open the lid!

Cons: No complaints at all!

Value for money: Excellent value for money – only a fiver! For such a useful product, no wonder it’s the lines best seller

Dulwichmum verdict: ★★★★★

- Harper’s Bazaar, UK

First impressions: I love the packaging, very stylish!

Ease of Use: Very easy! The dropper makes the application so simple and not messy unlike other oil based products I have used before. The product is absorbs well and does not mark clothes. I applied it to my stretch marks because I have read so much about this product in relation to its remarkable effects,

Pros: Lovely packaging, easy to use and pretty much odour free!

Cons: No cons apart from it didn’t make as big an impact on my stretch marks as I’d hoped for

Value for money: Probably not bad if it works on mild stretch marks, but it didn’t work on mine, despite the myriad of awards

Dulwichmum verdict: ★☆☆☆☆ – perhaps with longer testing the effect would have been better? One bottle and 6 weeks made no impression at all
