I waved my poppets off to school this morning with a tear in my eye. The long Easter school holidays caused me to become emotional on more than one occasion… and at times family life seemed to descend into a neanderthal Wii fest for papa and son (sigh).
Perfect Freya observed on several occasions how the Wii is just for boys. I despise computer games and could happily toss them into the recycling. Perhaps things would be different if the Nintendo people would make something that appealed to us girls…
This sort film made me laugh, although so many of tasks that the women are practicing are familiar (clearly).

Funny that...

Girls play tennis, right?
I see what you mean, video games have always been more my remit, than say, my sisters. But we do now have tumultuous Wii battles on the Brain Academy. And aren’t all girls smarter than boys? So they should ‘clean up’ there.
There’s a Wii going on my blog as it happens, check it out.

Oh SingleParentDad darling,
I can give you the Wii I own to to give away if you like. I do not want another (sigh). I am trying to dream up games to interest women like me but can’t…

Being the single mother of 4 (mostly almost grown) sons, I find the lack of domestic games on their gamestations I make up for that lack by making them practise these things in real life
Oh what a joy it is to watch boys iron and scrub the loo…..
