Posted by dulwichmum on Sat 4 September 2010
Name of product: Shine and Protect Conditioner by Ojon
Price: £18.50 for 250 mls
The blurb: “Gentle cleansing, conditioning and styling solutions formulated specifically to add shine to dull, faded hair. Ideal for dull, natural or colour-treated hair
This rich, lightweight, high-gloss Shine & Protect Conditioner will help to moisturise and detangle your locks while protecting your hair colour. It seals the hair cuticle to help lock in colour and shine, intensify the brilliance of your hair colour and improve manageability”

First impressions: This scent is sensational. I can’t wait for my mane to smell of this product! It has the gloopy consistancy of glossy tinned custard mayonnaise. Someone I know who has fabulous hair, swears by Ojon and I am really keen to try it!
Ease of Use: Simply massage into wet hair and scalp and rinse. This product rinses away thoroughly and leaves absolutely no residue at all
Pros: The Ojon range is dramatically different and surprisingly effective! I must admit that I have been using this conditioner after the Ojon Shine and Protect shampoo – so not in isolation for one month, and the transformation to my hair has been dramatic. I have coarse, coloured hair that I must use a hot ceramic iron on, simply to impart shine! My hair has been transformed. It is not simply that my hair is glossy, it is much more than that. My hair no longer feels brittle or damaged, like processed hair at all. My hair feels like the hair I had as a teenager, before I discovered hair colours and (whispers) grey… My hairdresser even noticed and commented on the improved condition of my hair when it was wet!
I had my hair hi-lighted last week, which usually dries it out, but the quality of my hair hasn’t deteriorated at all!
Cons: You will want to throw your Kerastase in the bin – don’t kick the dog!
Value for money:. I will admit that this range is rather expensive, but for the effect that it has on my hair, I would have to say that it is worth every penny
