The blurb: “The People of Beautiful Hair”™ – A True story
Help restore your hair’s natural beauty with this ancient native secret from the remote tropical forests of Central America
Ojon® is the hair treatment range developed by Denis Simioni thanks to his discovery of the Tawira people. Choose from a range of shampoos, conditioners and styling products created to suit you whatever your hair type and all containing the precious Ojon® oil which has been used by the Tawira – known as “the people of beautiful hair”™ – for hundreds of years
The compelling story behind Ojon® began more than 10 years ago when Denis Simioni, a Canadian advertising executive, set off for the Honduran rainforest to find the Tawira tribe known as “the people of beautiful hair”™ and their secret ingredient, Ojon® oil, derived from the nut of the Ojon® tree. Today our brand has a fast growing and loyal following and helps create beautiful hair for all while helping a native community develop and preserve its way of life
At Ojon® Corporation, we value integrity above all – the integrity of our product ingredients, the integrity with which we derive those ingredients from nature using environmentally-responsible methods, and the integrity with which we deal with the Miskito tribes of Central America who harvest the Ojon® oil
We are committed to providing our customers with a high quality hair care product while helping to sustain one of the world’s most valuable natural and cultural treasures”.
Well that was from the official web site about all their hair products…this is what it say’s on the actual bottle of the Shine & Protect Glossing Mist spray
“Ojon® Shine & Protect Glossing Mist is a weightless mist of pure shine that hydrates, nourishes, strengthens and protects the hair, leaving an incredible high-gloss, fly-away-free finish. Enhanced with pure ojon oil and other nourishing plant extracts, just 2-3 pumps of mist moisturizes, eliminates frizz and combats humidity for a silky soft finish with incredible shine. A natural UV-inhibiting anti-oxidant complex helps protect hair from sun and environmental damage”
First impressions: Like the other Ojon hair products, the designer’s have worked hard to portray an earthy, organic and expensive looking product. The bottle is a handy size (60ml 2fl.oz.) Perfect for fitting into one’s handbag!

Pros: This product truly is a little miracle in a bottle! It smells divine! I could easily become addicted to it…must be the Ojon oil, sweet almond oils and broccoli seed oil…Broccoli (gasp)? I cant detect even the slightest hint of vegetable anywhere! In fact it’s so fabulous that I’m keeping it next to my computer from now on so I can sniff every so often! Can one become addicted to sniffing hair products (OHMYGOD!)?
Anyway back to the matter in hand…after styling my hair I simply spritzed as directed and to my amazement my hair was transformed!. The highlights scream fabulous (smirk)? No really, it is an amazing product! My colour is visibly enhanced and yet the product is totally weightless! I am a diva (whats new?)! Several people have commented on the condition of my hair (I love compliments – don’t you?)!
Shine &Protect is recommended for all hair types
Cons: I genuinely can’t think of any, I intend to keep using this.
Value for money:. 5/5 This product may appear to be an expensive luxury, but it is stunningly effective! My hair shimmers and glows with radiance and just smells fantastic
