The blurb: : Tracey Malone (yes another Malone who strives to make us more beautiful), sister to Jo Malone has launched a collection steeped in history using secret recipes that date back to the 1920s. “Her timeless skincare collection uses the original recipes of Madame Lubatti who was a doyenne of her time as a respected skincare expert and homeopath who handmade products for high society and English royalty. The collection aims to combine elegance and luxury with the scents that make women feel beautiful. The collection contains fruit, plant and flower extracts designed to help the skin be its most beautiful, radiant self. Sounds blissful!

Infused with the powerful anti-oxidant Green Tea Extract & Aloe Vera, Lubatti’s Sparkling Eye Gel is light, gentle and soothing, and perfect at nourishing the delicate area around the eyes

Lubatti’s Sparkling Eye Gel can also help to calm redness and reduce puffiness around the eye area, and is ideal for tired and irritated eyes

Put some sparkle into your life!”

First impressions: Gosh where to start? Well, the website is gorgeous and very femine with classic blacks, greys and green prints. The Lubatti image works beautifully, from an easy to navigate website sharing the Tracey Malone philosophy and the story behind this collection, to the seductive packaging. Another Malone to become excited about! The collection consists of 17 products that are classified as skincare, specialist treatments, essential treatments and bath and body. The site also has some truly delicious gift sets for others, or, after a particularly challenging week being a supermum/boss/wife – the reasons for self-gifting are endless when you really think hard about it (looks serious). The sparkling eye gel comes in a small brown and purple box, patterned with flowers. The glass jar is a simple circular vessel with a gleaming black lid and plain boxy lubatti lettering. The eye gel is transparent and smells delightful

Ease of Use: Simply dab the product under the eyes until fully absorbed, morning and night. A small amount of gel on the fingertip is enough for both eyes and the gel takes a few minutes to fully soak in. When absorbed, it leaves the delicate skin refreshed and provides a good make-up base

Pros: The product is easily applied and is rich enough to be effective without being too rich or leaving the skin surface too moist for make-up application. The gel feels cooling and refreshing and soothes puffiness away from tired eyes

Cons: The only con from my point of view is that there does not appear to be an ingredient to combat ageing and any emerging smile lines around my eyes (I am such a happy person!). If I continued to use this product to reduce any puffiness, I would consider it essential to accompany it with a good eye cream to ensure that my chances of preserving my feline and fabulous eyes

Value for money:. This product is probably good value for money if you are not concerned about anti-ageing ingredients as you only need a fingertip of gel to achieve results

Dulwichmum verdict: ★★★☆☆
