Tall Tales
By dulwichmum | January 30, 2010
I always find it hilarious when the poppets tell tall tales – bless! And how quickly misunderstandings can spread throughout their schools! Just this afternoon I found myself texting one of the most competitive mummies from Max’s prestigious prep to clarify something he has apparently misunderstood and been spreading whispers about (OHMYGOD!);
“Jessica darling, I am so very embarrassed. Tiny Max has informed me that he has been telling your perfect boy that we are having dinner with the Queen tonight! Clearly that is a distortion! OMG! Pre theatre drinks with Camilla and the Prince of Wales, do not a repast avec the monarch make!” HA! Aren’t the boys hilarious at this age?”

Darling DM, my daughter has been spreading embarrassing rumours about the Queen today. You may wish to take a look:

Sweet Rosie,
How adorable your baby is (sigh).
Perfect Kitschen Pink,
Apparently that would be very poor form on my behalf (damn!).

Thats a tall tale I could live with! At present my twins are only 20 months old & barely speak a sentence, our tall tales are stuck at:
me: have you been eating the crayon?
twin 1: Nnnnnooooooo (whilst vigorously shaking head & mouth covered in blue crayon bits)

Anyone with an ounce of common sense would realize no one in their right mind would want to have drinks with them anyway……..or are you all in love with those two?
Can you tell I’m not a big fan!!

Of course. After all how would the other little ones ever compete – it would be the show and tell trump card , I quite see what you mean……. t.x

Oh LisaG,
How very sweet that picture is. I am feeling broody now (wipes tear from eye and then remembers finding weetabix cement on the kitchen cabinets not so long ago).
Daddy dear,
Of course I did sweetie. You must join us next time!
Darling Gill,
I am polite to everyone, but cant stand any woman with more diamonds than me (stomps foot). We saw Cat on a hot tin roof!
Lovely Teena,
We understand eachother completely!
