Name of product: The Lip Balm – Creme de la Mer
Price: £36 for 9 g
The blurb: “The coveted Creme de la Mer Lip Balm is repackaged this winter with an eye catching silver-effect lid. This sought after Lip Balm is one winter essential that will ensure your lips are kept smooth, soft and feel plumper. Luxurious, soothing and comforting, the Lip balm more than lives up to its promise. Working on contact to soften roughness and relieve dryness. Worn all day, lips are constantly soothed. Applied at night, lips appear renewed by morning. This is one winter skincare essential which you won’t want to be seen without no matter where you go”
First impressions: The familiar sleek pearlescent green and peachy packaging screams; “I’m expensive” (its very me!). With a shiny chrome lid that could easily double as a mirror and a green glass pot, it is virtually a work of art and makes a perfect gift
Ease of Use: Easy Peasy! It’s a very soft balm so you only need a tiny amount, a little goes a long way
Pros: The gently refreshing hint of spearmint flavour makes your lips tingle slightly and instantly fresh and moisturised. This balm genuinely lasts overnight and definitely makes your lips feel a little plumper. An application lasts longer than your average lip balm and is by far the best I have used. I cant wait to produce this from the bottom of my large Nancy tote at the school gates when Freya complains of dry lips at drop off – check me out (prrr)!
Cons: The price – it is the most expensive lip balm I have tried! If you buy this as a gift you won’t want to give it away!
Value for money:. It’s soo deliciously sweet that I couldn’t resist licking my plump lips – I wonder how long the pot will last… This balm is actually incredibly good, I consider it to be the best I have ever tried

Knocks spots off everything else – if a tad pricey
