Tri-Aktiline Instant Deep Wrinkle Filler – GoodSkin Labs
Posted by dulwichmum on Sat 16 October 2010
My super chum Miranda reviewed this for me. Miranda, like me, is harsh but fair…
Name of product: Tri-Aktiline Instant Deep Wrinkle Filler – GoodSkin Labs
Price: £27.99 for 30mls
The blurb: According to the packaging this product works miracles!
“INSTANTLY 68% of subjects reported a noticeable visible filling of wrinkles. 4 WEEKS later 83% of subject’s demonstrated improvement in the appearance of lines and 8 WEEKS later clinical studies measured a 45%visible reduction in wrinkle depth and length. Ever wished you could just fill in your wrinkles? Now you can start with Tri Aktiline. In this one compound you get instant wrinkle-filling science plus a complex of three technologically advanced ingredients”
With claims like that, it sounds just as effective and yet so much cheaper than Botox!
First impressions: I must admit that the packaging look rather like a graphic design student’s project – strong bold block colours of purple and white with the “claims” highlighted in bright yellow. It definitely doesn’t shout out expensive (which is very me)…. more cheap and cheerful from the basic range (perfect for the aupair)! In fact my darling husband claimed it looked like it was from Homebase and wondered if it would cover up the cracks in the plaster at the back of the garage (gasp)! How very dare he?
Despite the rude remarks, I was determined to give this magnificent sounding Polyfilla a thorough assessment and see if it would tackle my smattering of tiny crow’s feet – you know dear reader, I do it all for you (wipes tear from eye)
Ease of Use: Very easy to use, just follow the directions and “lightly tap a small amount directly into frown lines, forehead lines, under-eye and wrinkles. Gently pat till the line is filled. Let it set before applying make up. Use morning and night. Reapply as needed throughout the day”
The information however does not tell you how to use the filler if then applying foundation and/or moisturizer or day cream. I waited until the filler was completely dry (just enough time to waft around the kitchen and show a presence for the poppets as they eat breakfast) then patted (not rubbed) on my foundation. Perfect!
Pros: I have had the pleasure of reviewing many other fillers and eye creams targeting crow’s feet and laughter lines (not that funny), and I must say that this one is incredibly effective. The product genuinely smoothed out my eyes wrinkles in an instant (no, really!).
I couldn’t really comment on its effectiveness with deep furrows as greatest concern has always been the crows’ feet. For me, this truly is effective
The fragrance free cream is easily absorbed into the skin. Initially, the area around my eyes felt a little tight after application, but only for a few moments and not at all uncomfortable
I used this filler twice a day, as directed, for almost 4 weeks and my crows feet have definitely diminished – hurrah! I have given up smiling (by choice – not by Botox!) as I don’t want the lines back!
Cons: None at all, as far as I am concerned, this product actually lives up to the PR blurb! I have read reviews claiming that using foundation on top of this product causes the filler to crumble off, but that is not my experience. If you are concerned about fine lines and wrinkles, you must try this – I will be buying more when this tube runs out – and I don’t say that often
Value for money:. Excellent value for money as it actually works!
