Name of product: Upper Eyelid Lifter by Bremenn Research Labs

Price: £52 for 15 mls

The blurb: “Why do you need a formula specifically developed to lift the look of the upper eyelid area? Unlike under-eye puffiness… upper eyelids tend to sag, deflate and droop. That’s why ordinary eye creams don’t quite do the job. Bremenn’s ‘Upper Eyelid Lifter” makes your eyes look bigger, brighter, fresher and captivatingly alive

Biopolymer from sweet almond proteins, a synthetic skin brightening agent that mimics a natural molecule from Scotch pine, key amino acids, a synergistic peptide combination and extracts from years (Faex), rye (secale cereale) seed and soy”

First impressions: Despite the dramatic claims on the box, which if I am to be entirely honest, I usually find off-putting, the tube itself has a simple, clinical, confidence inspiring appearance with a pump dispenser. The description sounded intriguing! This products appeals directly to my insecurities, either that, or someone has been listening to me moaning about my upper lids lately. I couldn’t wait to try this product!

Ease of Use: Twice a day, a tiny dab of the cream is applied to the upper lid with a finger and gently rubbed in, until completely absorbed. The pump dispenser on the tube makes it difficult to dispense the tiny amount required and so, in the early stages, it can be quite wasteful. The cream is not greasy and is quickly absorbed. It provides a perfect base for make-up

Pros: Having used this product for a full four weeks, I can genuinely say that I will not be without it. I am incredibly impressed. Puffyness is visibly reduced, I will not admit to any sign of droop or sag (gasp) so I am not really in a position to comment on the more dramatic claims, but this product is a perfect base for eye make-up and I have even begun to line my upper eye with a sharp black liquid liner again – I kid you not! Definitely less crepiness and dragging with a liner

Cons: It is quite difficult to dispense the tiny amount required of this product using the pump on the top of the tube, so it can be quite wasteful in the early stages

Value for money:. This product genuinely seems to be working for me – although I can only really comment on the puffyness, so I have to say that I consider it to be very good value for money

Dulwichmum verdict: ★★★★½
