Youth Code Rejuvenating Anti-Wrinkle Day Cream – L’Oreal
Posted by dulwichmum on Sat 21 August 2010
Name of product: L’Oreal Youth Code Rejuvenating Anti-Wrinkle Day Cream
Price: 14.99 for 50 mls dependent on the stockist
The blurb: “The enriched Youth Code creams use patented Pro-GenTM Technology. Applied daily, the moisturising formula helps improve the skin’s ability to behave more youthfully (I love the thought of my skin behaving more youthfully, who wouldn’t). The results of testing reported that 78% said skin looks rejuvenated, 69% said wrinkles appear reduced and 71% said features appear rested
Youth Code is based on the way mature skin and young skin behave differently when exposed to external aggressions. As you age, skin takes longer to recover and responds more slowly. The complexion loses luminosity, facial features appear tired and wrinkles deepen. Youth Code Rejuvenating Anti-Wrinkle Day Cream leaves your skin hydrated, smoother and more radiant. Skin behaves more youthfully: luminosity is improved and facial features appear rested”
First impressions: The packaging is not pretty but functional. It implies a product that is effective and based on scientific research rather than luxurious indulgence. The packaging highlights the benefits this cream provides after an hour, week and month based on the ten years of research that have led to the launch of this product. The glass jar containing the cream is made of thick glass with a plastic screw top lid
Ease of Use: The suggested application for this cream is morning and/or evening on thoroughly cleansed skin. The cream is easily applied with a fingertip and melts into the skin quickly on application
Pros: The cream is rich and not an average watery high street moisturiser. It is easily absorbed and leaves skin feeling moisturised and smooth for at least 8 hours, even when experiencing life’s trials such as tube travel and air conditioning. The cream leaves skin feeling soft and smooth and after a month of use my skin continues to feel energised and rejuvenated
Cons: Unfortunately after a month I can see no obvious reduction in the appearance of wrinkles…despite the claims. Clearly, as a glorious creature, I only have a vague smattering of smile lines but they have not shown any signs of abandoning the ongoing ageing battle (sigh). Having said that I do feel that this cream has maintained my skin and the moisture boost this rich cream provides has left my skin looking healthy and vivacious
Value for money:. This is a high street moisturiser that any credit crunched lady on a budget can afford. The cream certainly appears to be very good competition for other high street creams, the rich texture provides a high quality and long lasting moisturiser that certainly hydrates tired skin

as I can see no obvious reduction in the appearance of smile lines although my skin itself does feel smiley!
Stockists: Available at all good high street stores.

I’m curious to find out what blog system you have been working with? I’m having some small security issues with my latest blog and I would like to find something more safeguarded. Do you have any recommendations?
